We connect the greater community to our schools.
Our communities are full of individuals and social services that have the desire and the ability to help. Why not bring them directly into our schools? We recruit community volunteers to mentor and tutor, and broker assistance services directly to kids at school. This gets young people the necessary guidance and support that enables them to focus on learning.
Responding the unique needs of each community.
Services offered in our 12 local communities are different to meet identified needs. Consistent to our work is the level of coordination we bring to service delivery – key to achieving student success. Throughout Washington our program offerings include:
Non-academic Assistance
Connecting young people with a host of services (healthcare, housing, nutrition, counseling) resulting in children better prepared to learn.
One-to-one Mentoring
Instilling the confidence to succeed, the belief that education creates opportunity, and setting the expectation for success.
After-school Tutoring & Academic Support
Increasing academic performance, building confidence and self esteem.
Family Assistance & Engagement
Ensuring young people have a supportive home life, fostering parental involvement in education, helping families access the services they need to ensure stability and promote growth.
Out-of-school Enrichment & Community Service Programs
Strengthening the resiliency of young people to succeed by expanding their understanding of what the world has to offer.
